ScottMadden Announces Promotion of Kevin Hernandez to Partner
ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading management consulting firms specializing in energy and shared services, is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Hernandez to partner.
Kevin specializes in grid edge and energy storage, and he serves as the co-lead of ScottMadden’s grid edge community of practice, which focuses on helping clients adapt to the changes driven by the increasing penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs) such as distributed generation, storage, demand response, and microgrids. With nearly a decade of consulting experience, he has worked with a variety of transmission and distribution utility clients on issues ranging from post-merger integration to distributed energy resources.

Prior to joining ScottMadden in 2012, Kevin spent eight years as a member of the United States Navy. Kevin developed expertise in defense, government, and international development through previous roles working for the United States Senate and as the Communications & Outreach Manager at USAID, a U.S. government agency that works to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential. Kevin earned a B.A. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, an M.A. from the U.S. Navy War College in Newport, Rhode Island, and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
