A Letter From Our CEO
ScottMadden distinguishes itself in many ways, and after more than two decades at the firm, I’m grateful to have experienced its growth and evolution firsthand. Our culture is foundational to how we work and serve our clients. We are a collaborative, close-knit organization where people genuinely invest in one another’s success. Since we work in small, high-performing teams, our consultants gain meaningful responsibility early in their careers, accelerating both professional development and leadership growth in ways that are often difficult to find at other firms.
What truly differentiates ScottMadden is our commitment to exceptional client service. We pride ourselves on building trusted partnerships, bringing practical thinking, deep expertise, and a relentless focus on delivering results that last. Our partners remain actively engaged on projects, giving team members direct access to mentorship, coaching, and leadership on a regular basis. Our work is grounded in our core values of service, accountability, respect, trust, and inclusion.
Beyond client work, we are equally committed to creating an environment where our people can thrive personally and professionally. Through our sponsor program, Employee Resource Groups, Communities of Practice, Corporate Responsibility initiatives, and a variety of firmwide programs, our employees have opportunities to connect, contribute, and shape the future of the firm.
We are looking for individuals who are intellectually curious, collaborative, critical thinking, and eager to make an impact. For those who desire meaningful work, accelerated growth, and a supportive culture centered around its people, I believe there is no better place than ScottMadden to build a career.

There are many ways you can get involved at ScottMadden beyond day-to-day client work. These range from opportunities to build and share your expertise related to our areas of focus to connecting on other areas of interest to social events and community involvement.

Our Communities of Practice (CoPs) and Communities of Interest (CoIs) bring together professionals across the firm to strengthen expertise, share knowledge, and advance strategic priorities. These groups help foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning across both our industry and corporate services offerings. CoPs focus on building and refining the capabilities, tools, and methodologies we use to deliver for clients, while supporting professional development and career growth. All CoPs and CoIs are open to all employees interested in joining and participation in at least two is encouraged.

In addition, the Annual All-Hands Meeting is a great opportunity for employees to gather in one central location for two days. Led by our Planning Committee, this meeting is designed with a set of topics and activities to foster networking and celebrate our firm and its culture. At each annual meeting, we also give back to the community in partnership with a charitable organization.

Training & Development
Our approach to development is based on the belief that we learn best by doing. Working in small teams, led by seasoned consultants on high-impact client projects, creates the best conditions for putting developmental concepts into action. Receiving support and immediate feedback from team members both accelerates development and prepares us for our next steps.
We also provide formal online and in-person courses; structured mentoring through our sponsor program; dedicated time for development outside of client work, such as for professional certifications and licenses; and opportunities to advance one’s skills and professional interests through involvement in our communities of practice.
New Hire Orientation (NHO) is ScottMadden’s annual onboarding program for interns and new consultants. Over three days, participants learn about the firm, consulting best practices, AI-enabled project work, and effective deliverable development while building connections with peers, leaders, and consultants across the firm.
Along with our New Hire Orientation, the firm also provides training via our SMart Start program. SMart Start is ScottMadden’s immersive new hire training program designed to build consulting skills through hands-on, project-based learning and real-world client scenarios. First-year participants develop core consulting capabilities via project-based learning, gain confidence alongside their peers, and build a strong foundation for long-term growth at ScottMadden.
ScottMadden also offers dedicated manager training curriculum to help new managers successfully transition into leadership roles with greater responsibility and higher expectations.
