David Mendez

David Israel Mendez joined ScottMadden in 2015 after receiving an M.B.A., with concentrations in strategy and operations management, from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. While at ScottMadden, he has gained considerable experience in the firm’s two main practice areas of energy and corporate & shared services, including functional assessments, large-scale implementations, inventory optimization, tiered service delivery model design, as well as business planning and risk mitigation. David is an active member of ScottMadden’s supply chain community of practice. Prior to joining ScottMadden, he worked as an operations team leader with General Mills where he managed a production team of 42 manufacturing technicians. In his prior role as a continuous improvement leader, David led waste-reduction and cost-saving initiatives and rolled out a new maintenance system to a plant of 400 employees. David served in the United States Army as a logistician and as a drill sergeant. He holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Washington. He has significant international experience and has lived and studied in Guatemala, Germany, China, and Israel. David is fluent in Spanish.
