2019 SEPA Hawaii Executive Fact Finding Mission

ScottMadden will be the executive sponsor for SEPA’s 2019 Hawaii Executive Fact Finding Mission taking place November 3-8 in Hawaii.  Utility and distributed energy executives will come together to engage in deep discussions and candid sharing and they will return home with practical, applicable lessons for their companies that may inform planning and future efforts.

The two main questions that will be explored during the executive mission are:

• When dealing with increasing penetrations of distributed energy resources (DERs), how do you plan for and manage grid operations to ensure operational reliability, flexibility, and the ability to “bounce back” from disasters?
• How must regulatory structures and customer engagement strategies evolve to ensure success in a world with rapid DER growth?

John Pang, partner, and Paul Quinlan, clean tech manager, will be ScottMadden’s representatives on this mission.
