ScottMadden, Inc., a general management consulting firm, is proud to join leading industry players as a sponsor and presenter at sharedserviceslink’s North American Shared Services Leaders’ Summit taking place October 6–8, 2015, at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia. This event will include various streams focused on analytics, global business services (GBS), and global process ownership.
Brad DeMent, partner and finance and accounting practice area leader at ScottMadden, and Trey Robinson, partner at ScottMadden, will facilitate a learning lab entitled, “Five Ways to Avoid Global Business Services Dysfunction.” Leading organizations are recognizing the business value of GBS beyond the transactional cost and operational efficiencies associated with shared services and outsourcing. This session will help attendees learn how to:
- Define a more holistic approach to servicing diverse regions and countries
- Expand to non-traditional and higher value services
- Infuse innovation: Are predictive analytics or robotics in your future?
- Regain focus on business responsiveness and relationships
- Create end-to-end process models and structures
Mr. Robinson will also chair the GBS stream and present the session, “Living Up to the Hype – What Defines a True GBS? What Challenges Can You Expect and What Are the Benefits?” This session will review the definition of true GBS and the characteristics of the model. Attendees will also gain insight into the challenges of the transition and discover the benefits of moving their shared services organization to this new delivery model.
“As adoption of global business services continues to grow, we are excited to share practical guidance that will help companies avoid the pitfalls that prevent them from achieving the benefits they desire,” says Mr. Robinson.
