A not-for-profit healthcare system had engaged ScottMadden to implement a new HR service delivery model. The client wanted to ensure that current HR staff were slated into new, future state roles that matched their competencies. As a result, ScottMadden was engaged to assess the competencies of current HR staff to support the transition to the new model and identify needs for professional development.
Process
- Collaborated with the client to refine competencies and questions in ScottMadden’s HR Competency Builder for best alignment with the client’s organization
- Planned a 360-degree survey approach involving multiple raters to enhance the accuracy of survey results
- Deployed the Competency Builder and analyzed output utilizing a proprietary survey analytics tool
- Worked with client-led change management and communications team to develop messaging for employees and managers about the results
- Prepared managers to discuss assessment results with employees

- The client enhanced professional development efforts to focus on skillset gaps that emerged from survey results
- Specific development plans were created for each employee based on the output of the assessment
