As a ScottMadden associate, you won’t be flying solo.


Sponsors

Our first-year employees are teamed with experienced sponsors, whose knowledge and insight are put to work on your behalf. Sponsors answer questions about the day-to-day operations of the company, provide access to information from the partners’ meetings, and support you when team staffing decisions are made.


Development Plans

A strong development plan designed with the help of a seasoned sponsor gives each new associate a clear path to success. The plan provides step-by-step guidance for achieving your goals and meeting ScottMadden’s performance standards.


Career Ladder
Analyzing problems and communicating solutions are key roles for ScottMadden associates. Our team approach ensures a deep well of institutional knowledge that frees associates to draw on their own energy, optimism and flexibility to achieve maximum potential.
 
With advancement based on ability, not tenure, talented associates can quickly become senior associates, taking on multiple tasks and additional responsibilities. 
 
Stepping up the ladder to managing associate means primary oversight of client projects and junior consultants, as well as delivery of quality results. Your strong project management and communication skills will be reinforced by our field of ScottMadden experts, who will help you meet your project goals.
 
As a director, you will join forces with our partners, bringing in new clients and helping shape the company's future. While working on multiple projects and solving big-picture problems, our directors also give back to other members of the staff through mentoring, teaching and leadership in technical skills. Directors are our go-to team members, embodying the company's tradition of leadership and success.
 
Training
ScottMadden provides training opportunities that will get your consulting career moving in the right direction. Associates spend time learning up-to-date details of the energy industry, a focus of ScottMadden business development. Senior associates attend a three-day course on public speaking and presentation skills, while managers are free to choose a training program to help develop their desired specialization within the firm. As a director, you will participate in training to improve your sales and marketing skills. As a director, the focus shifts to improving sales and marketing skills.
