ScottMadden Green Supply

Green Supply

We help companies establish a procurement methodology that improves environmental performance while minimizing cost.

We help clients build green supply chains by assessing programs, identifying leading practices and trends, and developing sustainability-based supply chain methods. A green supply chain aligns environmental performance with financial performance when making supply chain decisions. ScottMadden has deep industry experience and proven methods, tools, and techniques to assist our clients in developing a sustainable or green profile by integrating four core supply chain functions:

  • Planning and forecasting
  • Specifications development
  • Strategic sourcing
  • Inventory and warehousing

We recognize that within the lifecycle of a utility asset, there are many opportunities to improve environmental performance.  We encourage suppliers to investigate the “Lean and Clean Assessments” offered by the Green Supplier Network (GSN).

We currently provide our green supply chain services to electric utilities. We have also established a Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance of leading investor-owned utilities. The objective of the Alliance is to develop criteria and metrics to improve (1) the environmental impact of specific products or services purchased and (2) the overall environmental performance of suppliers’ operations and utilities’ supply chains. To learn more about the Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance or to request information about membership, click here.
