EEI Strategic Issues Survey

February 2009

Utility Strategy Roundtable Meeting

ScottMadden facilitated a strategic issues session on February 4, 2009 at the Edison Electric Institute’s 2009 Strategic Issues Conference held in Savannah, GA. Leading utility strategists identified and ranked the major strategic issues facing their companies, and the top issues were categorized and examined more closely. Leading industry strategists posed specific questions about the issues and conference attendees answered the questions using hand-held audience response units.

Many attendees were Directors or VPs of strategic planning and other key functions at leading U.S. utilities. There were 36 respondents in the survey: 57% were U.S. electric companies, and 43% were vendors, suppliers, or consultants.

This presentation captures the issues and the conslusions from the session.
