ScottMadden was retained by a major southwestern electric and gas utility to review its end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) processes in support of a major enterprise resource planning (ERP) conversion.

Challenge
  • uManagement was engaged in a major project to transition to PeopleSoft Financial and HR applications. Retained a customized, internally-developed application for purchasing and work management
  • uThe internal transition team was struggling over whether to configure the package to reflect their current practices, modify their practices to adopt those of leading companies, or adopt those built into the ERP vendors application
  • uManagement retained ScottMadden to review the entire P2P process and work with the integration team to decide how to configure the system in a manner that best suited the company
