John H. Sequeira, Partner

John Sequeira has more than 30 years of domestic and international consulting experience.  He is a certified management consultant and has extensive knowledge of supply chain management, operations improvement, and information technology planning.  His industry experience encompasses energy, manufacturing, retail, and government.  He has conducted consulting projects in the United States, Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.  Prior to joining ScottMadden, Dr. Sequeira served as a vice president at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young LLP and was a partner with the predecessor firm of Ernst & Young LLP.  He received a B.S. in political science from the University of Santa Clara, magna cum laude, an M.P.A from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, and a Ph.D. in economics from GSIS/University of Denver. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and the American Purchasing Society.

Recent Assignments

 
  • Worked with a joint IT/finance/supply chain team at a major Southwest electric utility to redesign its end-to-end purchase-to-pay (P2P) process in conjunction with the implementation PeopleSoft ERP
  • Led a multi-team effort by a Fortune 200 company to standardize materials management and inventory management practices for 60+ warehouses belonging to five different subsidiaries located across the Southeast
  • Assisted a major East Coast electric and gas utility with improving their enterprise-wide supply chain. The scope included strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory and materials management, and accounts payable
  • Helped one of the top three investor-owned utilities restructure its supply chain organization. Support included research into alternative organization structures, presentation of organizational design alternatives, and a detailed workplan for implementation
  • Completed a comprehensive supply chain assessment for one of the country's largest internet services providers
  • Assisted a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company redesign its procure-to-pay (P2P) process for its North American operations
