Courtney Jackson

Director

Courtney Jackson has eleven years of consulting experience, focusing the last four years in shared services.  Areas of expertise include shared services strategy, design and implementation, operations improvement and process redesign, shared services delivery/operations, organization design and restructuring, and project and change management. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Courtney worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, consulting on corporate dispute litigations, including developing financial models and calculating damages for expert witness testimony support.  Courtney received an M.B.A. at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a B.S. in Commerce with a minor in French from the University of Virginia.

  • Managed HR shared services implementation for a national defense contracting company serving over 125,000 employees across nine business units.  Built knowledge base information repository, created internal operating processes and procedures, implemented harmonized service processes for employees, developed and delivered technology and tools training, and planned and executed complex business simulation training exercise. Achieved $1.3 million cost savings after six months with rollout of first two business units
  • Participated in a customer call center outsourcing engagement for a large utility company, including developing a request for proposal (RFP), preparing for vendor selection, and analyzing vendor responses to ensure alignment with the client’s strategic initiatives
  • Served as project manager, overseeing future state process redesign for a financial and accounting shared services center within a national property development company.  Facilitated process design sessions and managed documentation of over 135 processes related to on-site and corporate financial accounting, accounts payable, cash management, leasing, utility management, and shared service operational processes
  • Managed leading practice expense management software implementation, reengineered processes, standardized policies, and streamlined customer delivery model for leading entertainment company’s travel and entertainment shared services function. Process improvements resulted in 50% reduction in transaction costs and 300% reduction in expense reimbursement cycle time.   • Restructured an HR organization and implemented a shared services center in a large energy corporation. Created cross functional scope for new HR service delivery model, reengineered processes to align with delivery model, redesigned organization, created transition and change management plans, and developed and delivered operational and technology training.  Facilitated process reengineering team and managed documentation of over 250 HR processes
  • Assisted in strategic reorganization of an energy delivery group within a large utility.  Performed management organizational span/layer analysis, analyzed cost trends, and developed alternatives to enable cost reductions
  • Reconciled over 17,000 high speed Internet customer orders at the transactional level, using multiple data sources and information systems.  Manipulated data and produced a reconciled data set and audit report.  Calculated financial impact and recommended settlement strategy and process improvements
  • Assisted commercial finance team in a leading technology services firm in developing an effective method for analyzing post-deal sales data.  Helped manage the implementation of a data infrastructure to analyze transactions and financial performance
